LYDIA. Saitta. Pseudo-autonomous issue. Assarion (Orichalcum, 20 mm, 6.03 g, 7 h), Titianos, first archon, circa 161-175. ΔHMOC Laureate head of Demos to right, with slight drapery on his left shoulder. Rev. ЄΠΙ ΤΙΤΙΑΝΟY ΑΡΧ СΑΙΤΤΗΝΩΝ Dionysos standing front, head to left, holding kantharos over panther in his right hand and thyrsos in his left. Martin, Saitta 1.1 and pl. 14 (this coin). RPC IV online 1409 (2 specimens, same dies). Extremely rare, the third known example. Slightly rough, otherwise, very fine.
